Tom has a long history of service to Stafford!
Before being appointed to the Stafford Board of Supervisors Board in January, 2018, Tom served on the Stafford County Planning Commission for four years, the Agricultural Commission, the Agricultural/Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) Commission, the Comprehensive Plan Committee and the Long Range Planning Committee for Stafford County Schools. Through nearly twenty years of public service in Stafford, he came to learn about the various issues and challenges you care about in the George Washington Hill District. Tom has a strong record of achievement in preserving our rural land, managing growth and sound budgeting.
As the George Washington District Supervisor, Tom is working every day to tackle the issues facing the residents. He has spearheaded the effort to getting Ferry Farm Elementary School addressed, preserve funding for the preservation of open space and farmland through the PDR Program, and retain our public safety employees. School safety has also been a focus. Tom has been an educator in Stafford County Schools for over 25 years and has also been an Adjunct Professor at VCU and Randolph Macon College.
